Pep set resin

Pep Set resin is a two-component casting resin, mainly composed of phenolic resin (part I) and polyphenol isocyanate (part II), and it needs to be hardened by reaction under the action of a catalyst. It is applicable to sand casting of complex-structured castings and can effectively reduce defects caused by porosity and shrinkage stress in castings. This resin sand system has the characteristics of fast hardening speed, low temperature sensitivity and good collapsibility.

use methods

1. Sand mixing process

Add sand, resin and curing agent to the sand mixer simultaneously, and control the mixing time at 15 to 25 seconds to ensure uniformity.

partII is prone to react with moisture and must be transported by a dedicated pump isolated from air, along with a drying and cleaning device.

2. Raw material ratio

Sand selection: 50/100 mesh silica sand is used as the base material.

Resin addition amount: Pep resin accounts for 0.45%-0.55% of the sand mass, and the curing agent is added in equal amounts to the resin.

Catalyst: It should be pre-added to part I at 1%-7% of the resin volume. After mixing, it should be used up within two days.

Advantage

1. High strength and low gas evolution

The tensile strength is significantly higher than that of traditional resin sand, and the gas evolution is as low as below 6.0 mL/g, reducing the porosity of castings.

2. Good process adaptability

It hardens quickly and evenly, is not sensitive to temperature changes, and is suitable for high-precision forming of complex castings.

It has excellent collapsibility, avoiding cracks caused by excessive strength of the sand mold during the cooling of the casting.

3. Environmental Protection and Safety

No special additives are needed, and no dangerous chemicals are released during the production process, meeting environmental protection requirements.

packing specifications

1. Use 200L iron drum nitrogen sealed net weight 220kg packaging or 1000L square drum nitrogen sealed net weight 1000kg packaging.

2. The resin should be stored in the indoor with ventilation, moisture-proof, fire-proof, heat source and direct sunlight to prevent the failure of the resin, especially the Group II resin, which should meet the above conditions for a storage period of six months.
